A 11.5cm tapered slice from the thin end of loofah gourd. Approximately 6cm to 8cm across the top end, 8 to 11cm across the bottom end. This thinner end of a loofah is more aerated and particularly suited to this task. When immersed in water, the loofah pad swells to become a soft spongy and flexible pad, a must-have for cleaning muddy vegetables. Use with water on the wet skin of root vegetables with gentle pressure to lift off soil & debris.

Handmade in Egypt. From the gourd of Luffa Aegyptiaca plant with Egyptian cotton string hanging loop. Care. To keep loofah fresh between uses, rinse, squeeze out excess water, shake out any food particles & hang to dry from the cotton string loop. Occasionally wash in the washing machine or by hand. Last for months and when worn out can be composted.
