All Hannah Marchant's seed cards are APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) tested and approved so they’re safe for planting.

The veggie and herb seeds in the cards are safe for eating too! The paper only contains seeds that are of the highest quality. All the seeds handled are NON-GMO (genetically modified organism). The handmade paper is made with post-consumer material, meaning that no new fibres were used in the production of the paper. When the paper itself is planted, it composts away leaving only wildflowers, herbs or veggies and NO Waste!

The wildflower cards contain a mix of; Catchfly, Clarkia, Snapdragon, Bird’s Eye, Sweet Alyssum and Blacked Eyed Susan. There’s also Dill, Basil, Carrot and Lettuce seed cards too! I have also released some new seed cards including Chamomile, Thyme and Chives!

How long do the cards last?
For best germination results, the card should be planted within 2 years. It will still grow beyond that but the germination rates will
start to decline. Store in a cool, dry place to preserve the germination rates for as long as possible.

How do I grow a seed card?

You will need;
A pot or flower bed if planting outside | good potting soil | your plantable card | water | a sunny corner.

Planting Instructions:

For planting in a pot;
Fill your pot full with good potting soil, leaving room at the top for your card. The pot can be placed indoors or outside, (not ideal if planting outside in cold frosty weather or really hot!).

Planting your card
Take your greetings card and place it on the soil in your pot or in planting bed. If you have room you can lay the whole card flat. if not, you can tear it into smaller pieces to fit the space. It’s ok if the paper overlaps. Cover greetings card with a 3/4mm layer of soil and gently press down.

Watering.
After planting, give your pot a good watering you want the paper and the soil to be nicely damp (but not swimming in water!).
During the first 10 days, keep the paper moist at all times. (the water is necessary for germination.)

Germination and seedlings
Once seedlings appear, continue to keep the paper moist, but be careful not to overwater. Once sturdy plants appear, water as needed.
